Southampton Rose Society’s
Annual Rose Show and Rose Day Celebration

This June, the Southampton Rose Society is delighted to announce two special events being held on Saturday, June 13^th. Our annual Rose Show will take place at the Rogers Memorial Library downstairs in the Morris Room beginning at 7:30 a.m. and ending at 4 p.m. Trophy presentation will take place at 3:30 p.m. All rose growers are invited to come and enter roses. Members will help new exhibitors learn how to prepare and enter roses for judging. Show guidelines can be found on our website and on our social media accounts.

June 13th will also be the fourth annual Rose Day celebration in Southampton Village. The rose was declared the official flower of Southampton Village in 2019, and it is also the official flower of New York State and the United States of America. On Rose Day, local business owners are encouraged and invited to compete in a rose display competition. To compete, interested business owners are asked to decorate their store windows and/or store fronts with a rose-inspired theme. Judging will take place on Friday, June 12^th. The Southampton Rose Society, now celebrating its 50^th year anniversary as an organization, sincerely hopes that both the Rose Show and the Rose Day celebration will give visitors to our community an opportunity to see the beauty in roses as we do.
